The Black Women Leadership Programme
Our flagship leadership development experience
The Black Women Leadership Programme is a transformational 8-month leadership development programme designed to equip Black women with the confidence, strategic capability, and leadership presence required to thrive in senior academic, professional services, and corporate leadership roles.
Created in response to the persistent underrepresentation of Black women in senior leadership across organisations and institutions, the programme equips participants to lead authentically, navigate complex systems, and drive meaningful change — without compromising identity or values.

Being part of the BWLP 2025 has been a truly transformative experience. The change I’ve witnessed in myself, both professionally and personally, is tangible. This programme it’s an awakening. It ignites the leader within you and, under Nelly’s extraordinary guidance, supports your full blossoming into an empowered, authentic version of yourself. Nelly is the leadership coach of dreams, her vision, encouragement, and unwavering belief in each of us created a space where I felt seen, valued, and inspired to lead with confidence. Through her coaching, I have not only redefined my career path but begun a journey that feels like only the beginning.
I had an incredible and truly authentic experience alongside 12 inspiring women. I was deeply moved by Nelly’s story and her journey into coaching—it gave me real insight into what to expect, grounded in lived experience. Over the weeks, as we explored themes such as saboteurs, growth mindset, nurturing talent, and intentionality (to mention just a few that resonated with me), I felt something being awakened within me.Nelly both challenged and guided me with clarity through moments of uncertainty. I am leaving the programme equipped with practical tools to develop my hidden leadership skills and strengthened authentic visibility. At a pivotal time in my life and career, this timely programme, UWL BWLP ‘25, has re-ignited that flame that laid dormant for so long. It has given hope a great future to look forward to and a reality of stepping into leadership. The workshops and coaching sessions were invaluable allowing a safe space to explore self and reflect.
